– As I understand it, Alexander Karelin is a fan of classical sports, Olympic sports, boxing and wrestling. But a lot of wrestling people want to try something new after a while, for example MMA. In my opinion, it is already a recognized sport. Maybe someone did not succeed in MMA, or someone, on the contrary, achieved everything there and a sporting passion arose.

– Is it right today to immediately send a child to the section in the hope of a career in MMA?

– Seems to me we’re still in the generation where they come from some other sports, so I don’t know how important it is for a kid to get into mixed martial arts right away. Usually you start with one style and then add another style to your highlights.

– And how do children train in Stary Oskol?

– They start with sambo and judo, or boxing. And then when they get older, they move into group MMA. said Moldavsky.

Moldavsky has been training with Fedor Emelianenko since 2015, previously the Russian was engaged in Greco-Roman wrestling, sambo and judo. Alexander Karelin won three Olympic gold medals in Greco-Roman wrestling and had one MMA bout in 1999.
