The first semi-finalists of the second season of the Victory Cup boxing tournament, which takes place in Perm, have been determined.
In the first quarter-finals, the team “Moscow” was stronger than “Ural” (boxers from the Ural Federal District) – 3:2. Among the winners, Levan Khasaya (63.65 kg), Shohabbos Shukurov (72.45 kg) and Ramazan Karnukaev (99.75 kg) won their fights.
Team “Kama” (Privolzhsky Federal District) also reached the semi-finals, beating “Stalingrad” (Southern Federal District) with the score 5:0. The victories were celebrated by Ruslan Belousov (57.75 kg), Mikhail Malkov (64.85 kg), Dmitry Dvodnenko (72.75 kg), Sergey Sergeev (79.5 kg) and Abubakar-Salah Mutselkhanov (105.95 kg).
“Moscow” and “Kama” will meet in the semi-finals, scheduled for July 8 or 9 in Kazan.
The remaining semi-finalists will be determined on June 15 in St. Petersburg. In the city on the Neva, Leningrad (St. Petersburg and North-Western Federal District) – Siberia (Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts), as well as Tula (Central Federal District) – Caucasus (Caucasian Federal District of the North) will meet . The Victory Cup takes place under the rules of professional boxing in five weight categories (under 58, under 65, under 73, under 80 and over 86 kg). The combat formula is four rounds of three minutes each. In case of equality of points on the notes of the referee in the fight, the victory is allotted to the boxer who was the best during the last round.
The Victory Cup prize fund will amount to 7.5 million rubles. For the victory, the team will receive three million rubles, for second place – two million, for third – one million. At the same time, for each victory, the boxer will receive 30,000 rubles.
