British mixed martial artist Leon Edwards will fight with the Americans Colby Covington as part of the UFC 296 tournament, which will take place in Las Vegas (USA).
Live broadcast on the TV channel “Match! Watch Fighter on December 17 from 2:30 p.m. Moscow time on from 6:00 a.m. Broadcasts of the fights will also be available on the matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
The fight between Edwards and Covington will be the main event of the evening, with the Briton defending his UFC welterweight title. In mixed martial arts, 32-year-old Edwards won 21 victories, suffered three defeats and one of his fights was declared invalid. In his last fight, Edwards defeated American Kamaru Usman by split decision in March. Covington (17 wins and three losses) beat his compatriot Jorge Masvidal last March.
Also on the main card of the UFC 296 tournament there will be a welterweight fight between the representative of Kazakhstan Shavkat Rakhmonov (17-0) and the American Stephen Thompson (17-6-1).

Russian fighter Tagir Ulanbekov (15-2-0), competing in the flyweight category, will meet American Cody Durden (16-4-1). The Russian occupies 12th place in the under 56.7 kg category.
