Athletistic/MMA. Russian mixed martial arts fighter Peter Yan has been withdrawn from fighting for medical reasons. The 31-year-old is guaranteed to be unable to step into the Octagon next month.
As MMA Junkie reports, this decision was made by the Florida State Athletic Commission after his fight with Chinese Song Yadong at UFC 299. After this event, out of 14 fighters, five athletes were suspended for a certain period on recommendation doctors. .
Note that Peter Yan beat Song Yadong by unanimous decision. The Russian is currently ranked fourth in the UFC bantamweight rankings. Currently, he has 22 fights in mixed martial arts – 17 victories and five defeats.
