The Ukrainian boxer spoke about his attitude to the Briton after a psychological breakdown in the fight.
Alexander Usik holds no grudge against Anthony Joshua after the Briton’s actions in the second fight between the boxers.
Let’s remember that in August 2022, Joshua lost to Usik by split decision, after which he threw the championship belts of the Ukrainian from the ring. Anthony later apologized to Alexander in absentia.
The holder of the WBA, WBO and IBF super heavyweight titles admitted that he held no grudge against his former opponent due to his emotional breakdown.
“Of course I accepted Joshua’s apology. Look, I don’t hold it against Anthony Joshua because I respect the man.
He is a great person, a great boxer and a great personality, an Olympic champion, two-time world champion. I think it’s emotion. I respect this man. No problem, Anthony,” Usyk said in a comment on Seconds Out.
Earlier, Usik revealed what book he was reading while preparing for the Fury fight.
