“I wanted to fight, but my opponent ran away and tied me up.” Madiev – about the fight at the IBA Night of Champions tournament

Russian boxer Magomed Madiev said that Ecuadorian Abel Mina deliberately did not want to have a spectacular fight with him.

On Saturday in Almaty, Madiev lost to Mina by unanimous decision in a fight in the weight category up to 75 kg at the IBA Night of Champions tournament.

“Of course, I wanted to fight more, box beautifully, but my opponent did not allow me to do this, he tied me up and constantly ran away. I wanted to express myself emotionally and I succeeded, but I failed to prepare properly. This is how the circumstances played out, but everything is fine. With good preparation, everything will be fine. It is a sport. What happened? “Due to family circumstances,” reports the correspondent, according to Madiev’s words.

The International Boxing Association will use proceeds from ticket sales for the April 27 tournament to help those affected by flooding in Kazakhstan.
