Athletistic/MMA. In Makhachkala, unknown persons tried to eliminate mixed martial arts fighter Zalimkhan Yusupov. The incident happened the day before, May 15, in one of the local cafes.
According to the Shot telegram channel, Yusupov was injured in the stomach, leg and arm. Zalimkhan is now in hospital. There is no information yet on his condition.
The source reports that the men started insulting the fighter, after which Zalimkhan hit one of them. At that moment, the second attacker pulled out a gun and shot Yusupov.
It should be noted that the attackers themselves presented themselves to the police with sincere confessions and were already arrested. They are expected to be charged with a criminal offense soon.
Interestingly, this is not the first attack on Zalimkhan Yusupov. In 2022, the fighter was defeated in Dagestan amid his conflict with Khadis Ibragimov during a Hardcore promotional tournament.
