Athletistic/ Boxing. Former WBC world champion Tyson Fury has officially activated the option of a rematch with the current absolute world champion, holder of the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO/WBC heavyweight belts Alexander Usik, the journalist reported Michael Benson on social media.

The head of the Top Rank promotional company Bob Arum announced the boxer’s decision. According to him, the second fight between Usik and Fury will take place in late 2024 or early 2025. The event will be hosted by Riyadh.

On the night of May 19, Usik handed Fury the first defeat of his professional career in a fight that took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). The victory was awarded to the Ukrainian by split decision: 115-112, 113-114 and 114-113.
