The two-time absolute world champion came to France to support the Ukrainian Olympic boxing team.
Alexander Usik will support Ukrainian boxers in their performance at the Olympics.
The WBA, WBO, WBC and IBO heavyweight champions have already arrived in Paris for this purpose to support the Ukrainian boxing team. This was announced by Ukrainian coach Yuriy Tsybenko.
Meanwhile, the publication Champion reported that Usik promised Ukrainian boxers to pay additional prize money for medals in Paris from his own pocket.
The two-time absolute world champion values the gold award at 80 thousand dollars, the silver award at 70 thousand, and the bronze award at 50 thousand dollars.
Let’s remember that Ukraine will be represented in boxing by three athletes: Alexander Khizhnyak (up to 80 kg), Aider Abduraimov (up to 57 kg) and Dmitry Lovchinsky (over 92 kg).
We remind you that Elina Svitolina then started the 2024 Olympics with great success.
