Russian boxer Dmitri Bivol said he was interested in testing himself in a duel against his compatriot Artur Beterbiev .
The fight for the title of absolute world light heavyweight champion between the undefeated Russians will take place on October 12 in Saudi Arabia. Bivol has 23 wins and holds the IBO and WBA heavyweight belts. Beterbiev has 20 first victories; he holds the IBF, WBO and WBC belts.
“Every time I think about my opponents, it excites me in a good way. Some of them were the faces of boxing (about Saul Alvarez), some had almost 50 victories and not a single defeat (about Gilberto Ramirez), some were champions (about Lyndon Arthur). And it was interesting to box with them. Carefree. And Arthur is a great champion. He has what I want – the belts. But this story isn’t just about the titles. When I look at his skills… I want to test my skills in a fight against this magnificent boxer,” reports correspondent Bivol’s words.
