Alexandria head coach Ruslan Rotan began the procedure for obtaining a British visa, reports TaToTake.
It is expected that the specialist will lead national team of Ukraine in the first qualifying match for Euro 2024 against England. The procedure for paperwork for the coach and his staff will begin on February 20.
At the moment, the Ukrainian national team does not have a head coach. With the previous mentor Alexander Petrakov, the UAF did not renew the contract. In January, Petrakov led the Armenian national team.
Al-Ain coach Sergei Rebrov is considered the main contender for the position. If the Ukrainian specialist agrees with the club’s management, he will be able to join the team in March.
The Ukrainian national team will play in Group C against Italy, England, North Macedonia and Malta in the Euro 2024 qualifying tournament. All matches of the blue-yellows will be broadcast on ICTV channel as part of the all-Ukrainian telethon “United News”.
The first official match for the Ukrainian national team will be the match against England. The meeting will take place at Wembley on March 26, all tickets for the match have already been sold.
