Former Shakhtar midfielder Fred has officially left the English Premier League and will play for Fenerbahce.
Brazilian midfielder Fred, who started his European career with Shakhtar Donetsk, has moved from Manchester United to Fenerbahce.
According to the Istanbul club’s official website, the 30-year-old signed a four-year contract with the possibility of an extension for another season.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but, according to media reports, the midfielder cost the “yellow canaries” 15 million euros.
Recall that after moving from Internacional, Fred played for Shakhtar from 2013 to 2018. After the midfielder was sold to Manchester United for 59 million euros.
As part of Manchester United, the Brazilian midfielder played 213 matches in all competitions this season, scoring 14 goals and 19 assists. With the Mancunians, he won the English League Cup.
