Lokomotiv midfielder Dmitry Barinov said that for him there is no better stadium in Russia than the railway workers’ stadium.
Barinov, 27, has been playing for Lokomotiv’s main team since 2015.
– Anton Miranchuk and I store valuables. We have seen it all before, we have won all the trophies in Russia. But sometimes, when we think about it, we realize that we are between 26 and 27 years old. But the responsibility lies with us – as well as Gil (Gilherm) and Rifat (Zhemaletdinov). We try to make the guys understand that they are not in an average team, but in a top club where all the conditions are met. The main thing is that they understand this.
For me, Lokomotiv is home. For me, there is no better stadium in Russia than Cherkizovo. There is no better base than in Bakovka. This is what young children aspire to. “I also made efforts – and I achieved my dream,” Barinov said in “Championship”.
After seven matches, the railway workers occupy sixth place in the Russian Championship standings with 12 points.
