Bilovar: Dynamo should have closed the match with Vorskla in the first half, scoring 2-3 goals

Defender of the white-blues – about the game with Poltava

In the final match of the seventh round of the Ukrainian Championship Dynamo beat Vorskla. The entire match with the Kiev team was played by defender Christian Bilovar, who, in a conversation with a Sport Arena correspondent, assessed the match with the Poltava team, and also spoke about the change of captain of the white and blue after Sidorchuk’s move to Westerlo.

— Christian, after the match in Istanbul, against Besiktas, Dynamo did not play official matches for 17 days. How did the team spend this period?

“There wasn’t much time to rest.” Without our playbooks, we prepared for official matches. In a certain sense, we held a mini-training camp in Kyiv. And when the guys involved in various national teams arrived, we reduced the load and continued preparing directly for the match with Vorskla.

— What can you say about the last game?

— If we take the historical component, Vorskla has always been an inconvenient opponent for Dynamo Kyiv. But today, I think we should have closed the match in the first half, scoring 2-3 goals. Thank God we won.

— Christian, is the fact that Dynamo kept a clean sheet for the first time this season, and the Poltava team never hit Buschan’s target, is it the merit of the defenders?

– No, this is the merit of our entire team.

— Question about the team captain. After Sidorchuk left for Belgium, did Buyalsky automatically become the new captain of your team?

— I don’t know all the nuances. I think that Buyalsky’s captain’s armband is entirely the merit of Vitaly. He has been with the team for a long time and enjoys unconditional authority among the guys. I am sure that Buyalsky and Yarmolenko communicated and even joked about this.

Looking at Dynamo’s application for the match with Vorskla, was It is noticeable that there were few experienced football players in the reserve. What do you attribute this to?

— We have injured guys, like Shaparenko. In the last couple of years, Dynamo has been undergoing a certain restructuring – young players are appearing. That generation that everyone knows, the guys either move to other teams or end their careers. Therefore, Dynamo needs young, high-quality football players.
