Enzo Fernandez scored twice for the Blues
Chelsea beat on home field Brighton with a score of 3:2 in the 14th round of the English Premier League.
The Blues took a comfortable lead early in the first half, scoring twice with Enzo Fernandez and Levi Colwill scoring. But before the break, Brighton first pulled one goal back through the efforts of Facundo Buonanotte, and then remained in the majority after Conor Gallagher was sent off.
In the second half, Chelsea again managed to increase their lead. Ukrainian winger of the Blues Mikhail Mudrik earned a penalty, and Fernandez confidently scored a double. At the end of the meeting, the Seagulls scored the second goal through the efforts of Juan Pedro, but they were not enough to do more, despite 15 replayed minutes.
It’s interesting that the Ukrainian was in Chelsea’s starting lineup for this game and spent 81 minutes on the field.
After this match, Chelsea scored 19 points and is in tenth place in the Premier League standings. Brighton are in eighth position.
In the next round of the English Championship, Chelsea will play against Manchester United, and Brighton will play with Brentford.
