Corinthians no longer has a mathematical chance of qualifying for Paulistão 2024; presenter Craque Neto pointed out culprits for the team’s downfall
Craque Neto vented after the elimination of Corinthians at the Paulistão 2024. With a disappointing campaign, Alvinegro is unable to gain enough points in the last round of the group stage to qualify for the knockout stage. The former Timão player detonated the scenario and blamed the situation.
“Being eliminated in the first phase of Paulistão is simply shameful! ‘Congratulations’ to the directors of past administrations who simply blew the club away”, highlighted Neto on the social network ‘X’. Among the last 17 editions, it is the fourth time that Corinthians has been left out of the knockout stage; the others were in 2008, 2010 and 2014.
Although it is already mathematically eliminated from the Campeonato Paulista, Alvinegro still has commitments to fulfill in the state. The team’s next and final match for the tournament in 2024, in the 12th round of the group stage, will be against Holy Wateraway from home, on Sunday, 10th, at 4pm (Brasília time).
