In the early morning of March 27 (Moscow time), a friendly match between the national teams of Argentina and Costa Rica took place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum stadium in California (USA). The match ended with a voluntary victory for the reigning world champions with a score of 3:1.
Costa Rican striker Manfred Ugalde opened the scoring in the 34th minute of the match. Note that at club level, the 21-year-old striker plays for Spartak Moscow.
The Argentines bounced back in the second half – in the 52nd minute the score was equalized by midfielder Angel Di Maria, who now plays for Benfica. In two minutes, Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister gave the Albiceleste the lead. And the final score was established by Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez in the 77th minute of the match.
Note that the captain of the Argentine national team, Lionel Messi, missed the national team training camp in March due to an injury received as part of Inter Miami.
