Former Anji and Tosno footballer Tetrashvili announced his retirement

Former midfielder of Anzhi, Tosno and Tambov Guram Tetrashvili told that he ended his football career and started working as a coach at the Alania academy.

The 35-year-old Tetrashvili’s last club was Kazakh Okzhetpes.

— I retired last year. My health was difficult – I underwent surgery on both knees. And then they offered to become a coach at the Alania academy. I thought that sooner or later I would have to stop playing football, and even if I was given a chance to start a coaching career, I decided not to refuse.

I have children born in 2012. I love everything. I have played football all my life, now I want to pass on my experience to the guys. Zaur Eduardovich Tedeev, who now coaches Akron, said: “Guram, you are a responsible guy, you will succeed. Start working with children, you will understand where it all begins. I listened to the advice of my elders. But I also want to work with a professional club and I hope it works in the future.

— Are you attracted to the field?

– Certainly! Sometimes I think: “I’ll train for a few months and start playing again” (laughs). But I understand that we must close the question of the playing career. Even though I play football sometimes, it’s not the same. But I am already used to children, I have been working with them for a year, I want to continue growing as a coach,” Tetrashvili told .

Tetrashivili started his football career in 2007 in Avtodor Vladikavkaz. Then he played in Alania, Mashuk-KMV, Lucha-Energia, Tosno, Anzhi, Belarusian Gomel, Tambov and Okzhetpes.
