Ukrainian track and field athlete Anna Ryzhikova failed to reach the finals 400m hurdles on Olympic Games 2024 in Paris.
In her semi-final race, Anna finished only seventh with a time of 55.65 seconds. The two best athletes qualified for the finals: American Sydney McLaughlin-Leuvron and Frenchwoman Louise Maraval.
Let us recall that Ryzhikova failed to reach the semi-finals on her first attempt, taking fourth place. Subsequently, the Ukrainian used her second chance and took second place in her race with a personal best, beating several rivals in the last meters.
Viktoria Tkachuk (eliminated in qualifying) and Oleksandr Pogorilko (failed to pass the repechage round) also took part in the 400m hurdles at the 2024 Olympic Games from Ukraine.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
