His goal now is to recover as best as possible from the muscle problems that forced him to end last season early and ruined his European Championship against Croatia: “I am much better now and I feel good, but I have lived a long time with pain,” says the midfielder, “and I played despite the pain: I want to get back as soon as possible.” The dream would be to be ready for the away match at San Siro against Milan, for the opening of the championship, scheduled for August 17: “I will definitely not be there on Sunday (against Cosenza in the Italian Cup, ed.), then we will see,” adds Vlasic from the La Rinascente shopping centre on Via Lagrange in the centre of Turin, where he was at the presentation of the team’s new home shirt, “but it doesn’t hurt anymore: my first goal is to get back to 100% as soon as possible.”
