Streaming service Megogo creates free national sports channelOn August 8, the company received a license to broadcast on the state multiplex MX-7.
“We have collected the lion’s share of football rights on the platform and we see that there is some content that we can monetize using the advertising model without compromising the paid product,” says founder Vladimir Borovik.
Let us recall that the Megogo service has been broadcasting the Champions League and the Europa League since the 2020/21 season. It should be noted that broadcasts of Ukrainian teams’ matches in European competitions were also available throughout Ukraine on national terrestrial television channels.
The MEGOGO media service has become the official broadcaster of European Cups in Ukraine for the next three years. The company signed a contract with UEFA regarding the sole rights to broadcast matches of European club tournaments.
