Roman came out for the last 10 minutes
Ukrainian striker Roman Yaremchuk played his first official match for Olympiacos.
The 28-year-old footballer came on as a substitute in the 81st minute of the first round match of the Greek championship against Volos (2:0). He did not manage to make any impact.
Jose Mendilibar’s team controlled the action on the pitch. Defender Rodinei scored early in the game, and substitute Georgios Masouras set the final score in the second half.
Yaremchuk officially transferred from Brugge to Olympiacos at the end of July. It was reported that the player would sign a four-year contract with an annual salary of 1.5 million euros. The player’s transfer will cost Olympiacos five million euros, taking into account bonus payments.
Roman played last season on loan for Valencia, but on July 1, after the end of the season, he returned to Brugge. The Ukrainian played 29 matches for the Spanish club, scoring four goals.
