The Ukrainian played only one half in the match against Sevilla
Mentor Girona Michel commented on the performance of the Ukrainian winger Victor Tsygankov in the match against Sevilla (2:0) in the fourth round of La Liga.
“I made a change mid-game because I was lacking energy. We’re playing in less than 72 hours and it’s tough.”
“Tsygankov’s intensity in the half was much lower than we are used to. This is a little bit my responsibility, like everything that happens on the field.”
The Ukrainian entered the field in the starting lineup and was replaced at half-time. The Catalan team scored a goal in each half. In the 41st minute, Girona captain Ivan Martin scored, and in the 73rd, newcomer Abel Ruiz converted a penalty.
Victor has one goal and one assist in three games for Girona this season. Tsygankov scored both goals in the match against Osasuna.
Girona are fifth in La Liga with seven points. Michel’s team will host Barcelona in the next round on September 15.
