Fans ran onto the pitch after the Austrian Football Championship seventh round match between “Fast” And “Austria” in Vienna, reports Kurier.

The match took place on Sunday and ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of Rapid. As the publication notes, Austrian fans threw pyrotechnics towards the stands, where families with children usually gather. After the final whistle, fans of both teams stormed onto the pitch and a massive fight broke out. The stewards were unable to control the situation and after about 10 minutes, the police intervened and fired tear gas.

At least one person was seriously injured and was carried out of the stadium with his head covered in blood. Both clubs face heavy fines following these incidents, the document notes.
