Ukrainian to fight Argentine boxer in Vynnyky on September 28
Ukrainian lightweight boxer Yaroslav Khartsyz (4-0, 3 KO) spoke about his preparation for the fight with the Argentinean Alan Velasquez (4-18-1, 1 KO).
“The preparation for this fight went very well. I was sparring with Yaroslav Mikhalushka, with whom we will perform in a boxing show this Saturday. In the mountains I gained health, breathed fresh air. I am in good shape and am determined to win.”
“As for amateur boxing. In the summer, I finished the competition at the qualifying tournament and could not get to the Olympic Games. But I do not regret it, I am very glad that I tried. I was close to a license, but lost in an equal fight to the future Olympic champion. Therefore, at this stage, I think that there is no point in boxing as an amateur. I got everything I could, gained a lot of experience, baggage, improved my boxing skills. I am grateful to the Boxing Federation, the Ministry of Sports, all the coaches for everything.”
“I really like the schedule in professional boxing. If in amateurs you are almost always at training camps and work according to the national team plan, now I can devote a lot of time to working on my mistakes, developing new qualities. Now I work a lot on explosive power, on concentration, I approach the training process creatively. In this regard, professional boxing suits me better.”
“As for future plans, Alexander Krasyuk is a very experienced promoter who knows his business very well, as evidenced by the latest results. I trust his vision. My task is to show good boxing, to go to big fights, to all world boxing titles.”
Khartsyz will fight Velasquez on September 28. The boxing evening will take place in Vynnyky.
Yaroslav’s last fight was in December last year. Khartsyz won another Ukrainian, Artem Ayvazidi, by technical knockout in the third round.
