Shakhtar lost points for the third time this season
Midfielder Shakhtar Pedrinho summed up the results of the meeting of the 8th round of the UPL 2024/25 with Rukh (1:1). The Brazilian stressed that his team needs to work on finishing attacks.
“Actually, the game was quite difficult. Of course, we wanted to come back with a victory and did everything possible to achieve this, but at a certain point, perhaps, we lacked healthy aggression. However, we will not give up and will continue to work hard.”
“Shakhtar is a big club that should always be at the top, and we will do everything to defend this proud title in every game and in training.”
“I think we really need to work on the finishing aspect, both games and attacking potential. We have to get into the rhythm of the game a little better as the season picks up pace, and for our part we have to work more on what we are already doing and look for fewer excuses to please the fans.”
“We know that the Ukrainian championship and the Champions League are different tournaments, and we concentrate on each individual match. Of course, the Champions League is an incredible tournament with the best players and clubs in the world. We have to work, improve our potential in all aspects, both offensively and defensively, and become better overall.”
Shakhtar lost points for the third time in this UPL draw (previously there were defeats to Polesie and Alexandria). The miners are in fourth place in the standings with 13 points.
On October 6, the Miners will host LNZ. Before this, Marino Pusic’s team will face a match against Atalanta in the Champions League – the meeting will take place in Gelsenkirchen on October 2.
