Brentford played a draw at home with West Ham in the sixth round English Premier League – 1:1.
The hosts opened the scoring in the first minute, Brian Mbemo scored. West Ham managed to come back early in the second half thanks to a goal from Tomas Soucek. The end of the game was an even fight, the score did not change anymore.
Ukrainian midfielder Yegor Yarmolyuk came on as a substitute in the second half. Within seven minutes the Ukrainian earned a yellow card. The match with West Ham was Yarmolyuk’s seventh for the club this season.
Brentford are 12th in the Premier League with seven points. West Ham have five points and are in 14th place.
Brentford next host Wolverhampton on October 5. West Ham will face Ipswich at home on the same day.
