Clubs will be able to replace players during the event from June 27 to July 3
Congress FIFA approved the Regulations Club World Cup 2025. Associations received the right to open additional transfer window for clubs participating in the KChM.
An exclusive player registration window will be in place for clubs from June 1st to June 10th prior to the start of the tournament. The decision to open a window is at the discretion of the associations.
After the deadline for player registration expires, clubs will have the right to make changes to applications from June 27 to July 3 during the tournament, within the established limit and with specific restrictions. So the association transfer window should be open for the club at this time.
The purpose of this regulation is to assist players whose contracts are expiring and their clubs to find a suitable solution. The regulations also partially eliminate inconsistencies between associations that arise due to differences in the registration periods for new players.
The Club World Championship in the new format will be held from June 15 to July 13, 2025. The tournament will take place in the USA, and 32 clubs (8 groups of 4 teams each) from six confederations will take part. According to the rules, more than two clubs from one country cannot enter the tournament, unless they win the Champions League.
It was reported that all 12 participants in the 2025 World Cup from Europe have been decided: Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, PSG, Inter, Porto, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Salzburg.
