Attack Inter Miami Luis Suarez said that he was negotiating a contract extension with the club.
“My lawyer is communicating with the club, but I’m calm. I want to finish the season in the best possible way, just like I intended. And to show Inter that I came with desire, I feel good physically and with the hope of continuing to be part of the history of this club.”
Suarez moved to Inter Miami in January, signing a contract until the end of the year. This season, the 37-year-old Uruguayan has played 29 matches for the club in all competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing 8 assists.
Inter Miami won the regular season in the MLS Eastern Conference ahead of schedule. In the last match of the regular season, the team for which Ukrainian Sergei Krivtsov plays will host New England Revolution on October 20. After this, Inter Miami will wait for the matches of the 1/8 finals of the MLS playoffs.
