Thanks to these three points, Andres Carrasco’s team rose to 5th place in the UPL standings
The 10th round match took place in Cherkassy UPL — LNZ defeated Ingulets (2:0).
The hosts could have opened the scoring already in the 15th minute of the game, but Georgian LNZ midfielder Shota Nonikashvili missed the penalty, which was parried by Alexey Palamarchuk.
And yet LNZ managed to score in the first half – in the 35th minute Ilya Putrya made a great finishing move. Shortly before the break, another penalty was awarded, but this time against LNZ. Ingulets defender Maxim Melnichuk approached the point and was unable to beat the hosts’ goalkeeper Evgeniy Kucherenko.
In the 60th minute, the same Ilya Putrya scored a double, making a great shot from 16 meters. As a result, LNZ gains 15 points and rises to 5th place in the standings. Ingulets is the last as before – Vasily Kobin’s team continues to be the only one in the UPL who still does not know the taste of victory.
In the next round of the UPL LNZ will be visiting the Krivbass field, and Ingulets is waiting for the Kirovograd region derby against Alexandria. Both of these matches will take place on October 26th.
