“We have set the highest goals” – Dmitry Cheryshev on the debut in the Andorran championship and the visualization of the pupil of “Zenith”

Head coach of the Andorran club “Santa Coloma” Dmitry Cherychev in a conversation with a correspondent, he talked about the goals of the new position and the Russian football player who was part of the team to watch.

On Sunday, Santa Coloma in the match of the first round of the championship of Andorra defeated the Engordany team with the score 1:0.

– I am happy to have managed to start the championship with a victory. The match turned out to be difficult considering our team’s elimination in the 36th minute. It’s good that we managed to survive and take the three points.

The highest tasks are set for Santa Coloma, although our team was completely renewed before the season. This applies to both players and coaching staff. The preparation for the season proved to be difficult, there was not much time and the selection department had to make quick decisions. In the first round, they didn’t even have time to declare 4-5 players already in the team.

Is it worth waiting for the Russians in Santa Coloma? We had a guy on trial, a Zenit student, who spent about two weeks with us, but in the end it was decided not to sign a contract. But we signed Belarus national team player Maxim Volodko. So far they have failed to declare it, but it will happen in the near future, Cheryshev said.

The 53-year-old Russian specialist took charge of the Andorran club in July. Previously, he was the head coach of Volga, Mordovia and Nizhny Novgorod.
