Logan Sargent thanks Jost Capito for the trust

It seems that Jost Capito’s departure from the position of head of Williams has taken the racing community by surprise as nothing outwardly foreshadowed such a development.

Under the leadership of the German manager, the team gradually emerged from the crisis, started earning points again and, although it finished last season in the last line of the Constructors’ Championship, interesting prospects emerged.

Alex Albon has proven himself well in the races last season and in 2023 his new teammate will be the young American Logan Sarget, who finished fourth in his debut season in Formula 2. Of course he still has to gain experience, but in the youth series he showed signs of a talent for speed, and given the course for the “Americanization” of Formula 1, it is quite possible to expect him to have American sponsors.

But it was Capito who invited him to Williams, so Sargent immediately reacted to news of personnel changes in the team’s leadership.

“Yost, thank you for your trust and belief in me during my time at the Williams Racing Academy,” Logan writes on his social media pages. – They helped me get into Formula 1 because Capito gave me the chance to demonstrate my potential and race in F2. He was a great team leader and I wish him all the best for the future, whatever that may be.”
