Italian police arrest four men wanted in connection with the theft of a luxury watch from a Ferrari Formula 1 team driver Charles Leclerc last year, according to Reuters.
A police statement said a search of the home of one of the suspects uncovered two pairs of “expensive watches, the origin of which will be further investigated”. According to the media, the stolen watch belonged to a limited collection and was worth several hundred thousand euros.
The incident happened in April 2022 in Villareggio, Italy. The Monegasque runner was walking with friends and his physical trainer Andrea Ferrari after dinner. According to the police, several fans asked to be photographed with the pilot, the number of people around him began to increase. The assailant managed to remove the watch from Leclerc’s hand. When the rider discovered the loss, the thief had already fled.
