Williams Racing Driver Academy Formula 2 competitor Franco Colapinto will take the wheel of Logan Sargent’s car during the first training session at Silverstone.
Franco will participate in an official Formula 1 weekend session for the first time, but last year he participated in the young driver test in Abu Dhabi with the FW45.
Franco Colapinto: “I am very happy, a very important moment in my life and career lies ahead. I will prepare as much as possible, drive many laps in the simulator and learn all the details necessary to drive this year’s car. I’m looking forward to testing this year’s car after last year’s in Abu Dhabi.
“The opportunity to get behind the wheel at Silverstone is a great honour for me, it is one of my favourite circuits and the home of our team. This is an important moment for Argentina. I am grateful to everyone who has supported me and I will do everything I can to make you proud of me!”
