The Haas team recently surprised many by announcing the start of a multi-year partnership with Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR), the racing division of the Japanese auto giant. But it seems the surprises don’t end there, and today we have one more waiting for us.
In any case, this can be understood from two mysterious messages that appeared on the Haas F1 pages on social networks.
First, the American team’s press office quoted Ayo Komatsu, its leader, as saying: “We will bring the following technical innovations to Austin, but there will also be several other surprises. In general, the American race is an opportunity to introduce a new look, don’t you think?”
Then a very short video emerged in which the racers’ shadows literally flashed for six seconds, and Toyota Gazoo Racing logos can be seen on the sleeves of their overalls. However, this can hardly be called a surprise, because on Friday when announcing the start of the collaboration with Toyota, the team mentioned that new elements would appear in the design of the cars already present in Austin.
The commentary on the video is: “We’re doing something special for Texas!”
It is also indicated that this “something” will be demonstrated today, October 14. Well, let’s wait and see.
