Russian attacker Mikhail Maltsev not included in the list of hockey players Los Angeles Kings who will travel to Australia for pre-season matches, the team’s press service reports.
Defender Vladislav Gavrikov was among the 28 players. Maltsev, 25, signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Kings in early July with a salary of $775,000. As of 2021, the forward plays for Colorado.
Los Angeles will face Arizona on September 23 and 24 in Melbourne. These will be the first-ever games between NHL teams in the southern hemisphere.
