On Monday, before the Fonbet KHL championship match against Ak Bars Kazan, Zaripov’s personalized star was placed in front of the Magnitogorsk Arena. Later, a ceremony will take place to raise the banner of Zaripov’s name under the arches of the arena.
Zaripov played for Metallurg from 2013 to 2017. He is a five-time Gagarin Cup winner with Ak Bars and Metallurg, as well as a three-time world champion. In total, the forward played 817 matches in the KHL and scored 685 (292+393) points.
