Roman Rotenberg on SKA player demanding three-ply toilet paper: “I think it was a joke. And it’s very unfortunate.”

SKA Head Coach Romain Rotenberg told that in our hockey there are much more serious problems than the thickness of toilet paper.

Rotenberg also serves as first vice-president of the Russian Hockey Federation.

— Recently, a video from KHL TV was broadcast on Telegram about how a certain SKA player demanded from the league that he be provided with three-ply toilet paper when traveling by car. Do you really have such a rider in your club?

– I think it was a joke. And it was very unfortunate. You know what they say: “Are you bold?” – “No, we’re joking.”

We have much bigger problems than the thickness of toilet paper. If we dig deeper, we have different rules everywhere, in each regional hockey federation. And there are many of them throughout Russia. And not all of them fall under the jurisdiction of the FHR.

We need a single standard for everything. And then hockey will develop throughout our country. And coaches, and judges, and children.

“And when you go to a children’s game and parents are shouting obscenities while drunk, it doesn’t develop our hockey. And we need to solve these problems, and not go into populism, discussing on KHL TV what toilet paper should be,” Rotenberg told .
