The hockey player was injured in the preparatory match against Pittsburgh (1:3), spending about 15 seconds on the ice.
“It would be a surprise if he doesn’t come back by the end of November,” reporter Aaron Porcline quoted Waddell as saying on social media.
Voronkov is 24 years old and has a total of 75 NHL games under his belt, in which he scored 34 (18+16) points.
The regular championship of the new NHL season began on October 4. Columbus will play its first away match against Minnesota, the match will take place on the night of October 11, Moscow time.
