Russian youth hockey team won the Future Cup in St. Petersburg

The Russian youth team (U20) beat their counterparts from Belarus in the final match of the international hockey tournament “Future Cup”, which took place in Saint Petersburg.

The match ended with a score of 6:1. Nikita Suraev scored a brace for the winners; Igor Bardin, Nikita Suraev, Vladislav Yusupov, Emil Pyanov and Georgy Ovchinnikov also scored a puck. Ilya Lakhnov scored for the Belarusian team.

In the match for third place, the Russian U18 team defeated the Kazakhstan U20 team – 3:2. The Russians responded to goals from Vladimir Korchagin and Semyon Simonov with precise shots from Mikhail Melikov, who scored twice, and Daniil Prokhorov.
