Maria Kameneva won the 50m freestyle at the Russian Short Course Swimming Championships in Kazan, which are held as part of the second stage of the Friendship Games.
Kameneva finished in the final with a score of 23.35 seconds. Silver went to Arina Surkova (23.92), Daria Ustinova (24.24) – third.
Kliment Kolesnikov wins the final round of the 100m freestyle (45.66). Second and third were Andrei Minakov (46.56) and Ivan Girev (47.03), respectively.
Arina Surkova excelled in the 100m butterfly, updating the Russian record (56.30). Daria Klepikova was second (57.43), Svetlana Chimrova (57.61) third.
Anna Egorova was the best in the 400m freestyle (4:00.09). Valeria Salamatina was second (4:05.93), Sofia Dyakova (4:09.22) third.
Yevgeny Rylov won the 200 meters backstroke (1:50.32), Alexander Tkachev (1:50.79) was second, Pavel Samusenko (1:51.05) was third.
Belarusian Ilya Shimanovich (25.94) took first place in the 50m breaststroke, Russians Kirill Prigoda (25.98) and Kirill Strelnikov (26.03) are second and third respectively.
Alexander Stepanov won the 1500m freestyle (14:37.40), Ivan Morgun (14:41.90) took second place, Alexander Egorov became third (14:45.77).
In the women’s 4 × 50 meter freestyle relay, the St. Petersburg team won (Alexandra Kurlikin, Daria Ustinova, Daria Tatarinova, Alexandra Kuznetsova) – 1: 37.81. The second was the Moscow team (1:39.95), the national team of Tatarstan (1:42.27) – the third.
The Moscow team won the men’s 4x100m medley relay (Kliment Kolesnikov, Petr Zhikharev, Danil Semyaninov, Vladislav Grinev, 3:21.56). The second place was taken by the team from Belarus (3:26.02), the team from St. Petersburg (3:26.56) finished third.
In a similar discipline among women, the St. Petersburg team (3.52.79) became the best, the Novosibirsk region team (3.54.47) became the second, the Moscow team (3.55 .28) – the third.
Earlier in the competition, Jovan Lekic set Bosnia and Herzegovina’s records in the qualifiers over distances of 400m freestyle (3:48.83) and 800m freestyle (7:54.16).
