President of Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe appointed head coach of the Russian national team Yuri Borodavko best team coach.
– I think so, Borodavko is the best coach in the team. But I must say that Yuri Viktorovich does not accept weak skiers. The “cream” is flowing to him, and here we should say a big thank you to the coaching guys of the junior team, who at one time drew Borodavko’s attention to Bolshunov, to Denis Spitsov.
I am glad that we have built such a system, although I often think that those who work with juniors, and these are Alexander Kravchenko, Sergey Dergunov, Artemy Gelmanov, should probably be offended by constantly, so to speak, remaining in the shadow, in second position. For me personally, they are exactly the same national team coaches as everyone else. In that regard, it doesn’t happen to me at all that someone walks into the favourites,” Vyalbe told RT.
