Defender of the Dawn – about the start of the second part of the season of the Ukrainian Premier League
Zorya’s defender Bogdan Butko after the match against Lviv in the 17th round of the Ukrainian Championship shared his impressions of the start of the Luhansk team in the second part of the season, assessed the adaptation of Luhansk newcomers to the team, and also spoke about his expectations from the match with Dynamo.
– Bogdan, after a strong-willed victory over Vorskla in the previous round, what was your mood for the game with Lviv?
— We had confidence / Losing Vorskla 0:2, we nevertheless achieved victory. We couldn’t lose points today if we want to fight for third place.
— Zorya doesn’t have many newcomers in the starting lineup…
– In general, we have a lot of newcomers in the winter off-season. And there are not so many changes in the starting lineup, I agree.
– Has Zarya changed a lot during the winter off-season?
In terms of the game, no.
– Can you single out any of the newcomers?
– I don’t want to single anyone out. Everyone has good qualities. The second circle will show. The same Guerrero came out well with Vorskla, and today as well.
– Let’s move on to the match with FC Lviv. It was you and Guerrero who organized the first goal…
– Our striker runs well. He didn’t need much adaptation either, the striker from Panama joined the team.
– Zorya has not had a forward in recent years. Maybe with the advent of Guerrero the situation will change?
“Perhaps it is. We have either Mishnev, who played in this position, then Antyukh, then Suppurative, sometimes Rusin.
– Do you have another assist to your credit?
— I, as always. If I have a good condition, then I will always run forward.
– At what point in the match did you realize that you would have three points in your pocket?
– I think that with the score 2:0 we calmed down a bit. We have problems with set pieces at our goal. With the score 1:0, we had to act very carefully.
– But you blurred the ending of the match a little, it didn’t work out for you. For what reason?
– At the end of the meeting, it was hard for us. Maybe it was physically overloaded. The last 20 minutes we, figuratively speaking, swam. The opponent scored and still pressed. Or maybe we were already finishing the game, and the replacements were made by our coaching staff.
– How do you like the lawn at the Dynamo stadium named after Valery Lobanovsky?
“The first half was great. And then the players cut the lawn, plus the fog descended.
– In a week, you expect a key match of the championship against Dynamo?
– On Sunday we will watch the game of Dynamo in Uzhgorod against Dnepr-1.
– Who are you for in this fight?
– Whoever wins, wins. The main thing is that the fans like the match. We have our own tasks. We want to win third place. Probably, if Dnepr-1 wins, then it will play into our hands.
— Your partner in Zorya Sergey Buleta said that the Luhansk team can compete for the second place in the championship…
– Everything is possible, you can compete for the first place. One or two misfires of one of the leaders and everything is possible.
— Bogdan, were you surprised by the defeat of Dynamo by Ingulets?
– Not only me, many were surprised at the defeat of the Dynamo. With all due respect to Ingulets, but Dynamo played at home. Plus, if Dynamo sets some goals, then Ingulets needs to be beaten at home. Although, in fairness, we also lost to Ingulets in November on the road.
– In your opinion, who in Zara, compared to the autumn part of the championship, added to the game?
— Volodya Brazhko. I really like him as a football player. Braga is progressing. He has become powerful, his head works, he thinks on the football field. Brazhko – adds.
– What does the coaching staff of Zorya focus on in the training process? How strong is Zarya?
— Dawn is strong physically, we are doing a good training process. We use fast passing, two-touch play. We always play forward.
– Dawn’s motto – game forward?
– Always forward!
