Olympic figure skating champion Alexei Yagudine admitted that he wanted to perform a triple sheepskin coat at a show program tournament in Moscow.
On Saturday, Yagudin performed an exhibition number as part of the Moscow Sports Cup in Figure Skating, a youth team competition between figure school athletes aged 6 to 12.
– At the Moskomsport Cup, I managed to make a triple sheepskin coat. Now we have to make it happen in the show schedule tournament. Now, I’m going to shoot myself, because my knee hardly works, and I’m going to try to jump there. But you understand, I’m not 18, not 19.
Now, on the run before the show programs, we were with Tanya (Totmianina). I keep walking, worrying about something… And she says to me, “Lyosha, please answer me a question. You have taught me all my life to perceive certain moments superficially. It will be the next day, after the rain there is always sunshine. Tell me: will you jump double or triple? Will your life change in one way or another? I say NO”. The show program tournament will be held in Moscow on Saturday.
