Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Turin Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov, who is continuing to recover after a series of operations in one of the capital’s clinics, will be able to return to the ice. This was stated by prosthetist Oleg Pikalov.
According to the expert, modern prostheses allow a person to regain an acceptable lifestyle after the most complex operations.
Moreover, Pikalov believes that Kostomarov will be able to return to the ice again. Difficulties can arise only with the implementation of complex elements that will critically increase the load on the limbs.
“Today there are stories where people with prostheses can compete with ordinary people. Remember the South African athlete Oscar Pistorius, who won the Paralympic Games. this is not a problem, but it will be almost impossible to perform complex elements of figure skating”, – quotes the words of Pikalov “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
