Ukrainian in three sets lost to Yulia Putintseva from Kazakhstan
Former first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina lost in her first match after returning to the court in the tournament WTA 500 in Charleston (USA).
The Ukrainian lost in three sets to Yulia Putintseva from Kazakhstan. Elina won the first game in a tie-break, but the next two sets were left for Yulia.
Recall that the Ukrainian held the first tournament in a year after the birth of her daughter. In December, Svitolina resumed training. Elina’s husband, French tennis player Gael Monfils, said that the tennis player is very motivated to return to the sport.
Svitolina suspended performances at the end of March last year, preparing for the birth of her daughter. The Ukrainian lost the title of the first racket of the country during her vacation.
