Surkova on Russia’s record in the Czech Republic in swimming: “I didn’t expect it to be so fast”

European short course swimming champion Arina Surkova said that she did not expect such a quick result from herself at a distance of 50m butterfly in the final of the Russian championship.

Surkova updated her own Russian record, which she set the day before (25.59). The competitions took place on Wednesday in Kazan. Surkova became first with a score of 25.30 seconds. Second place was taken by Anita Grishchenko (26.01), third place was taken by Daria Klepikova (26.08).

From now on, the objective remains to swim quickly the 100 m butterfly and the 50 m freestyle. I can’t set myself any goals yet, I’m going to improve, I hope everything will be fine. The form is always unpredictable, the start of the championship was blurry, it started “blurry” from the fourth day, Surkova told .
