Russian figure skating championship bronze medalist Katarina Gerboldt has admitted that she expects figure skaters Alexandra Boikova and Dmitry Kozlovsky to leave from Tamara Moskvina’s squad.

On Saturday, we learned of the transfer of Boikova and Kozlovsky from Tamara Moskvina’s group to Eteri Tutberidze. Boikova thanked Moskvina on social media and said the transition was due to a desire to “move on and try something new”. Kozlovsky expressed confidence in the timeliness and necessity of such a decision.

Many athletes prefer the group of Eteri Georgievna, they did not have pair skating before, now he is actively developing in it.

Gerboldt believes that the correctness of this decision can only be judged after the first sports results.

The results will speak for themselves as to the rationale for this transition. Everyone will work. I don’t think anyone will fall behind their seat. Still, we don’t have such a big bench in pairs, compared to, for example, singles, – said Gerboldt.

Boikova, 21, and Kozlovsky, 23, are the 2020 European champions. They also won the European Championship bronze medals twice (2019, 2022), in 2021 they became the bronze medalists of the World Championship.
