Ukrainian esportsman played for the Russian team at the Major in Berlin
Famous Ukrainian esportsman Roman «Resolut1on» Fominok commented on his performance for the Russian BetBoom Team at the ESL One Berlin Major 2023 tournament during the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
“How is your native Nikopol, while you are playing with your friends from BetBoom, does your conscience torment you? Why should my conscience bother me? Because I play Dota with guys who have a Russian passport? No, it doesn’t hurt. They have nothing to do with what is happening,” said Resolut1on.
Fominok as part of the BetBoom Team replaced Russian Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko, who missed the tournament in Berlin due to visa problems. Recall that last year Pure during the game drew the letter “Z” on the mini-map – a symbol of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
26-year-old Resolut1on is known for playing for Team Empire, Digital Chaos (second place at The International 2016), VGJ.Storm, OG and Team Secret (second place at The International 2022).
Early on the morning of February 24, 2022, Russia launched rocket and air strikes on most Ukrainian cities and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has been going on for the 475th day.
