The winner of the team figure skating tournament at the Beijing Olympics Kamila Valieva and 2022 Games silver medalist Alexandra Trousova organized pole vault courses.
Earlier, Trusova took part in the junior long jump competitions, which were held as part of the Week of Athletics in Moscow, and took the last sixth place.
On June 24, the All-Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA) posted material on social networks with the participation of Trusova and Valieva. One of the videos comes with a caption stating that Alexandra is thinking about pole vaulting. Next is an interview with her during Sports Week, where, when asked if she’s going to try her hand at the height, the athlete replies, “It’s cool with a pole, I think. But I’m scared!” Next is a photo with the winner of the Russian team championship in the pole vault, Elizaveta Bondarenko, and the words “I’ll teach you now!” In another photo you can also see Kamila Valieva in the gym during pole vault training.
On the eve of the Olympic champions in figure skating, Russians Alina Zagitova and Anna Shcherbakova posted a video on social networks in which they showed how they stood on nails.
